A meager heat

私はせつない時　思っていたよ
時々わかりながらも
そっぽ向いたり
ぎゅっと目を閉じ

Tokidoki wakarinagara mo
Soppo muitari
Gyutto me o toji

I was thinking during painful times
And sometimes even though I understood
I faced the other way
And tightly closed my eyes

外さないでよ
心の扉　小さな鍵を

Hazusanaide yo
Kokoro no tobira / chiisana kagi o

Don't unfasten it
The little key of [my] heart's door
不思議な時間
静かな空虚もうあれば

In the quiet days
If there were water of forgetfulness

* "Water of forgetfulness" may refer to the Greek myth of the river Lethe ("Forgetfulness")
